[Key Responsibilities]

Office Setup

  • Lead the HR aspects of establishing Medit’s first EU office, including infrastructure, compliance, and policies.
  • Partner with leadership to shape a workplace culture aligned with Medit’s global values.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with German labor laws.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for employees in compliance with German and EU regulations.
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers and internal finance teams for seamless payroll operations.
  • Maintain payroll systems, ensure proper documentation, and address payroll-related queries from employees.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations, statutory contributions, and benefits to ensure compliance.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Develop and execute a talent acquisition strategy to hire top-tier candidates for critical roles.
  • Build Medit’s employer brand in Europe, highlighting the company’s culture and career opportunities.
  • Lead onboarding programs to integrate new hires effectively.

HR Strategy and Policies

  • Create and implement HR policies, handbooks, and processes in line with local laws and best practices.
  • Develop a compensation and benefits framework tailored to the European market.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure Medit’s offerings remain competitive.

Employee Relations & Development

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment through engagement and feedback initiatives.
  • Design training programs for employee development, performance management, and leadership growth.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees for HR-related matters.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with German and EU labor laws, including GDPR requirements.
  • Manage contracts, payroll coordination, and employee benefits administration.
  • Provide HR metrics and insights to leadership for data-driven decisions.

HR Operations

  • Oversee the daily HR operations for the German HQ and support other regional offices if needed.
  • Establish tools and systems to automate and streamline HR processes.


[Qualifications]

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • HR certifications (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, PHR, or equivalent) are a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 8-10 years of HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in setting up HR functions, especially in multinational or fast-growing companies.
  • Strong understanding of German and EU labor laws and regulations, including payroll management.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and dynamic environment.

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems and data analytics.
  • Fluency in English; German language proficiency is highly preferred.
