[Position Overview]  

Job Title: Finance Manager (Germany)   

Reporting To: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)   

Work Location: Medit Europe GmbH  

 

[Key Responsibilities]  

  • Provide regular financial reports to HQ in Korea 
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with local (e.g., German GAAP) and international standards (e.g., IFRS)  
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance 
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and corporate policies 
  • Oversee and review VAT returns, annual tax returns (CIT, Trade Tax, VAT) 
  • Prepare EU sales list 
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes 
  • Manage cash flow, payroll, and other operational finance tasks 
  • Assist with the HQ year-end consolidated accounts preparation and audit process 
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and tax authorities 
  • Collaborate closely with the Commerce and Finance Teams at the HQ in Seoul, Korea, ensuring smooth operations across global and regional offices. 

 

[Qualifications] 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA preferred 

Experience 

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles.  
  • Able to work independently and set up processes for new subsidiaries 

Skills 

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.  
  • In-depth knowledge of national (German) accounting regulations and compliance reporting.   
  • Ability to commute daily to the Medit Europe GmbH office in Frankfurt.  
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
